This week, I decided to make this post a little more personal BECAUSE I got a new camera last week! My beautiful 5D Mark III finally came to my doorstep and I don't think I've ever been more happy in my entire life. (Well, besides signing the lease to my apartment, and hugging Max for the first time, and the very first time that I saw Pixel - but you get my point) I spent this past week playing around and taking photos everywhere I went and just having fun and getting to know my way around Solomon. Yes, thats right - I named my camera Solomon. I opened my new camera box with the mentality that I was going to start a new chapter in not only my photography, but my life. I would not just 'take' pictures but I would really take the time to make photos. This new camera would be an extension of my eyes and only help me reach my full potential in creating images that will change the way that people, and I, see the world. Through my new camera, I will be able to tell not only my personal stories like this, but the beautiful stories of other families, couples, athletes, pets and children. Here are a couple of shots that I made over the past week. I hope you all have an amazing weekend.

The Heefners | Family.

The Heefners are probably the sweetest family that I have ever met. Although the Heefner children are grown and roaming the world on their own, they definitely still know the true meaning of family. I had so much fun creating these photos - mainly because I know how much they would mean for Mrs. Heefner, especially that her babies are no longer at home together. We roamed Sycamore Grove Park together and shared lots of laughs along the way. I just want to say thank you again to such a beautiful family for choosing me to capture your special time together. I can't wait for our sessions in the future! All the best!

Jiun Ho IV Collection Reveal Party | Editorial.

This past month I was asked by one of my greatest photo friends and mentors Scott Kline, to shoot the reveal party of the amazing Jiun Ho's new design collection. Ho collaborated with textile designer, Sandra Jordan, to create his latest furniture pieces all inspired from his trip around Africa. The party was absolutely smashing - including native drinks, eats, designs and even authentic African music.  A big thank you to the creative team at Jiun Ho Designs and the Sandra Jordan Collection for having me and I cannot wait to attend parties in the future! Easton James | Birthday.

Last month, the cutest baby to ever walk (or crawl, actually) this earth turned ONE! Easton James is the most expressive little man I have ever met - so I was naturally just shooting him for an entire five hours. No complaints here! We visited with grandmas and grandpas, we played in the water, we smashed some birthday cake and we even visited with some of his closest friends. I could photograph this little guy all day - isn't there a job where I can do that?! Big huge thanks to his mommy & daddy, Kristen and Todd, for inviting Max and I to capture Easton's special day. I can't wait until he turns 2! 

Bobby & Stephanie | Love.

Yesterday I had the privilege of capturing the love between the most adorable couple in the whole world. Bobby and Stephanie have been together for so long and they are still so completely in love - it's so refreshing and beautiful to see a couple as in love as they are. Bobby will be leaving to Georgia to attend boot camp in less than a month so, of course, we had to get him into his uniform for a couple shots. We traveled around Tracy - ran into some cops, sprinted across busy streets and even had a piggy back race - these two are down for anything! Thank you so much for letting me capture your love and I can't wait for our sessions in the future. I love you guys!
